Atwima Kwanwoma Project
A phased plan to expand healthcare access for rural communities near Kumasi.

Farming communities are often separated from clinics by long distances and difficult roads. Families may rely on motorbikes, shared vehicles, or the back of a truck—even during childbirth. We are working to bring dependable care closer to home.

Francis Essien
Dr. Essien graduated from Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Keesler Medical Center. Now retired from the United States Air Force, he leads the foundation’s mission to expand access to quality healthcare.
